Leica Rangemaster CRF 2800.COM

The revolutionary new Leica Rangemaster CRF 2800.COM is the first dedicated compact laser rangefinder capable of precise distance measurements up to 2,800 yards/2,600 meters and benefits from easy smartphone programming via Bluetooth and the new Leica Hunting App. This means Leica ABC® Ballistics can be customized directly through a smartphone as well as a Kestrel Elite weather meter.

The Leica Rangemaster CRF 2800.COM offers hunters and long-range shooters three ballistic outputs in addition to the measured distance. Depending on the ballistic data required, when using Leica’s ballistic program, the CRF2800.COM provides either hold over value in inches, centimeters or comeups in MOA or MILs to 1,000 yards, or equivalent horizontal range (EHR) to 1,200 yards/1,100 meters. When connected with the Kestrel 5700 Elite with Applied Ballistics, the CRF2800.COM will display both elevation and windage corrections as far as the range finder can read.

Data is shown on the integrated LED display, which automatically adjusts to ambient lighting conditions. The scan mode measures environmental conditions and target distance every 0.3 seconds. Between 10 and 200 yards, the CRF2800.COM displays distance to the tenth of a yard, an especially useful feature for archers. Thanks to its compact size and weight, it can easily be carried in a shirt pocket.

The essentials:

  • Leica's first compact Bluetooth rangefinder
  • Easy to use with the Leica Hunting App, available on the Apple App Store and Google PlayStore
  • Choose between the three output values: clicks, EHR and holdover
  • Real distance up to 2600 meters
  • Below 180 meters precise information in decimal values

    CRF Rangemaster 2800.COM

Posted by William R. on Dec 1st 2021

It is super fast and accurate. The directions are a little lacking. The one improvement they should make in their app on the phone is to add the dope adjustments in MOA or MILS. I have other apps to do this once I have the range but they are so close. Just finish it up. The range finder itself is awesome. Connects smoothly to the phone, fast ranges, and easy access to the atmospheric pressure. Good buy. (Review provided by ExpertVoice)

A fast and accurate rangefinder that I highly recommend.

Posted by Jason S. on Dec 1st 2021

I have been impressed with speed this rangefinder acquires its target. The optics are top notch and much better than any other rangefinder I have owned. The display is always the correct brightness to see in any amount of light. Overall I am very happy with this rangefinder. The only negative I have found is the buckle on the case is noisy and clangs against its self. Not nearly enough of a problem to not recommend this rangefinder. (Review provided by ExpertVoice)

    Excellent range finder

Posted by Max A. on Nov 23rd 2021

I’ve used this out to 1200 yds. I have no issues with it. All shots on target. Integrates well with Kestrel. Would buy this brand again without worry. I’m interested to try their other range finders and binoculars.

    It has surpassed my expectations

Posted by Loring C. on Nov 18th 2020

Upgraded from a competing brand, and it has surpassed my expectations. The magnification and clarity is just right for spot and stalk hunting out west. The range is quick and repeatable. My only complaint is the internal ballistics don't compute to a 1/2MOA per click scope, only 1/4 or 1. (Review provided by ExpertVoice)

    Great Rangefinder With Ballistic Data

Posted by Glen T. on Nov 18th 2020

This is my second Leica Rangefinder and as always, the quality is outstanding. It instantaneously reads ranges at objects that another brand can't come close to. Seriously, this Leica is lightning quick. I also paired it with my Kestrel 5700 weather meter which then communicates drop data back to the Leica. The only negative thing I found is that the Kestrel has to be on for this to work. You can't just upload your DOPE from the Kestrel into the Leica and use it as a stand alone device. An alternative is to use the Leica Ballistic app and upload that, but I have not found that to be even close to the Applied Ballistics calculator. Overall, this is a wonderful rangefinder and I'm happy I made the purchase. (Review provided by ExpertVoice)
