Description:
This one-day workshop offers a hands-on introduction to the fundamentals of flash photography. Designed for photographers who want to gain confidence using flash in real-world scenarios, the course blends technical foundation with creative experimentation.
Led by renowned editorial photographer Landon Nordeman and Leica Akademie Instructor Vincent K Caruso, the workshop explores how flash can enhance your vision—whether you’re photographing portraits, events, street scenes, or personal work.
Participants will learn how to control light output, balance flash with ambient light, and creatively shape their images using both on-camera and off-camera flash.
After a morning lecture with example images and open discussion, students will rotate through a series of flash gear stations for hands-on experience. The day concludes with guided practice, peer feedback, and a chance to refine your approach under real conditions.
