Leica Gallery Portfolio Reviews
Leica Gallery Manager, Bell Pitkin, offers tailer made one on one consultations and portfolio reviews. Sessions can be scheduled as 1-hour intensives In-Person at Leica Store & Gallery Boston or virtually via Zoom.
Topics will be tailored to your individual needs and may include but are not limited to the topics listed below. We will critique the work and assist in narrowing down the strongest and most cohesive work. These sessions are ideal for photographers looking for a discussion of the fundamentals of editing a singular body of work for the strongest impact and visual reading of your portfolio. Our goal is to have a tight 20 image edit of your work.
An overall review of your portfolio, feedback on presentation, editing and sequencing and possible outlets for and future development of projects.

Who Should Attend:
Reviews are intended for emerging to mid-career and professional photographers and visual artists who have a cohesive body of work and are getting ready to submit a grant application, sending work to galleries, creating a website and/or editing for a photo book or zine.
What happens after I register?
1. Schedule your bespoke session today.
2. The Director will schedule a brief phone call to work on your tailored curriculum and goals,
3. Your session will take place.
4. The gallery team will send a follow up email from the session with any links or notes that may have come up during the session.
Availability:
Saturdays: 1:00-2:00pm EST
Sundays: 1:00-2:00pm EST
Every effort will be made to accommodate your requested meeting time. If your time is not available, an alternative time will be arranged.
Your Curator for this lesson: Bell Beecher Pitkin
Bell Pitkin is the Gallery Manager at Leica Gallery Boston, where they blend a deep passion for photography with a commitment to community engagement. With a background in photographic education, Pitkin focuses on uplifting emerging voices and exploring the evolving role of photography in their curatorial work. Much of their independent curatorial practice has been developed in partnership with Sinister Wisdom, where they also serve on the Board of Directors.
In addition to curating, Pitkin is an active photographer, primarily working with medium format photography to explore themes of the archive, family, and queer identity. Their work has been exhibited nationally at notable venues including Panopticon Gallery and Fort Point Arts Community (Boston, MA), the Light Factory (Charlotte, NC), and Gallery 14BC (New York, NY).
