    Bluetooth works perfectly

I’ve seen some reviews where they’ve mentioned having issues linking to a kestrel. I have never had this issue, glass is fantastic and the Bluetooth works perfectly.

PROS: Very very good glass and ranging capability. I used this side by side a Swarovski bino and found these to be indistinguishable. I will never need another bino.

The ranging capability is outstanding. I tested this side by side a PLFR 15 and 25c and it stayed right with them until about 2900yard.

CONS: The Ballistic app. It sucks. The onboard ballistics tables only calculate drop out to 800y unless you pair it to a kestrel then I got drop reading out to about 2k, but even then they were intermittent because the unit only sends the range data to the kestrel for it to calculate the drop/drift before the kestrel sends it back to the bino for display. The bino had a good response in sending the range and the kestrel would show it on the display but the bino had a hard time receiving the data back and displaying it.

The app also doesn't display drop in 0.1mil increments. and will only take BC inputs from velocity changes at very close ranges. This is not a good method of truing a BC since the app will only allow for velocity changes out to 100y. Measuring drop at range would be a very useful addition.

All and all the app can be fixed, Leica please partner with Hornaday 4DOF and allow that app to transmit to the Bino. The good news is the hardware in this unit will stay relevant for a long time and is top tier.
